What is the size of the class?

Classes range from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 kids. This allows me to give each child individual attention on his or her project.

8 years

What is the minimum age you teach?

If your child is younger than 8 years old, I recommend private lessons for 1:1 instruction. Please email me for more information.

My child is younger than the minimum age, but they are very interested in learning.

Depending on their project, they will need to provide their own fabric and materials. For small projects, I have plenty of fabric for them to use. Please inquire for more information.

What if my child wants to make a specific project?

Make-up classes are available due to sickness only. Classes can be made up during the same session.

What’s the missed class policy?

I have several machines available for use. Kids who have a sewing machine at home may benefit from using it in the class, as they will become more confident in their sewing abilities by learning to solve problems on a machine with which they are familiar.

I provide all materials, unless the student has a particular project in mind that may require them to supply their own materials.

What do I need to bring? Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

Jo-Ann Fabric in Redwood City. For higher-quality fabrics, visit Stonemountain & Daughter in Berkeley or Britex in San Francisco. Harts Fabric in Santa Cruz is also a good option.

Where is the best place to buy fabric?

Yes! We can host the party at my studio or at your home. Please email me for more information.

Do you do birthday parties?

I teach classes in my Menlo Park studio. Address is shared upon successful registration.

Where are you located?

Yes. I teach adults in groups of 3-5. Once you have a group of 3-5 friends who are interested in taking a class together, we will find a mutually agreeable time for the classes.
